The first jury
In the first jury 16 different design ideas – each by one student – of a Solar Deacthlon 2015 Prototype Living were presented.
Scholeh Abedini
The rooms flow of space is influenced by different ceiling heights.
Elements are added or subtracted from the lowest floor and can be used in various functions like seating or storage space.
Hannes Beck
The proportion of the structure is based on the analysis of the solar attitude and the general referrance to the exterior. In combination this results in an amorphouse form.
The skin is added out of several parts. The northern facade is closed, the southern and western elevation open to the exterior.
Franziska Hartmann
The modular concept of the building allows to extend and customize the space the users‘ needs. The building will thereby change it´s proportions. Furniture is created by interior surface cladding.
The are not rooms but only areas defined in the floor plan. Several views between interior and exterior allow a multifunctional use..
Tabea Huth
The design is based on the solar system with it‘s circulating planets.
Through the intersections between the circular modules, different purposes are generated. By removing the lving module other rooms get connected, increased, separated and/or combined. The living area in the center of the building rotates with the sun‘s direction.
Martina Machova
She designed a house on a green meadow which is mostly permeable and like a natural symbiont. The functions are integrated in an interior furniture. The building envelope is made of a membrane coated with transparent photovoltaic.
Sardika Meyer
The buiding is formed by a compact living cube with two stories and a courtyard. Variable spatial relations determine this design concept.
Ramzia Rahmani
A transparent and a opaque buidling module create the whole structure. The transparent one is the energy producer and the opaque one contains all functions.
The room is flexible and can be re-arrangend by movable elements.
The shading is designed by photoactive louvers.
Frauke Rottschy
The design centers the architectural and ecological footprint. Therefore the building contains out of two separat rooms and a central area which is roofed with transparent photovoltaics. In summer time the walls can be opened to create a wide space with natural ventilation and shading by the photovoltaic modules. Oriented to the east are the recreation rooms and to the west the functional units.
Simone Siegrist
Form:
Compact but no box – the southern surface is smoothly rounded to gain a better s/v-ratio and to increase the high quality surface for solar active technology.
Skin:
The building envelope has different layers with different functions such as energy production, shading and atmospheric lighting.
Interior:
A central furniture contains all functions and dedicates the interior zones. There are differnt openings to extend the room or to serve storage space.
Angela Specht
The inspiration is a room concept with flexible interiour functions.
The form results out of a cube with rounded edges to improve the s/v-ratio. The skin follows the principle of a fir cone and reacts according to environmental influences like sun, humidity or moisture. The sheds can be opened or closed as needed.
The inner functions utilizes mobile containers which are able to shift the buildings flow of space.
