And the winner is…

Friday, October 16th, 9am the winners of the Solar Decathlon 2009 were announced by the DOE. At this moment the Solar Decathlon peaked out by the announcement of the last contest „Engineering“ and the announcement of the overall winner:

Daniel Poneman, Deputy Secretary of Energy, announced the winners.

The third place went to Team California. The team that entered the podium in nearly all subjectiv contests.
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign achieved 897 points of 1,000 points possible and won the second place.

11 points ahead we were able to win the Solar Decathlon second time. We reached 908 points.
